Polish cosmetic companies at BeautyWorld Middle East in Dubai

BeautyWorld Middle East in Dubai took place from 8-10 May and during the three days of the event Poland was represented by approximately 70 companies. It is the first such a numerous exhibition for Polish cosmetic branch at this particular event. Polish Trade and Investment Agency was promoting Polish beauty sector at a specially dedicated national stand.
BeautyWorld Middle East is one of the biggest events in Middle East dedicated to cosmetic products, including beauty care and hair products, fragrances or well-being. This year the event hosted record amount of approximately 50,000 visitors, 1,700 exhibitors from 62 countries and 25 national pavilions. For 3 days Dubai became a very important platform for international companies and young producers making their first steps in this industry.
– It is a very important event in the calendar of Polish cosmetic producers in the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, which is one of the most perspective regions of the world. Beauty sector has been growing in a very fast pace here and till the end of the next year it is supposed to reach the highest Compound Annual Growth Rate from all regions of the world. The rate will be oscillating around 5% and will be mostly influenced by wealthy countries of Arab Gulf – Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates – says Adriana Jakubowska, the expert of Polish cosmetic branch. -The visitors were asking frequently about make-up and face & body care products. The expenditures on make-up comprise for a bigger part of personal care budget for women in this region. – adds Adriana Jakubowska.
Along with the development of women cosmetics, there is also a rise in men care products. It is estimated that this segment will be rising by 4,6% annually in the next few years. The demand for deodorants and shaving creams, hair care and depilation, but also moisturizing and anti-wrinkle creams for men is growing.

Within the Polish national stand organized by Polish Trade and Investment Agency there was divided a special place for B2B meetings for Polish exhibitors and their potential clients. During the whole event the visitors could consult the branch expert, who was informing about the potential of Polish cosmetic branch. The exhibitors from Poland could take advantage of the possibilities of free promotion, e.g. leaving their leaflets and catalogues and displaying promotional films. Additionally, the visitors could obtain information about Polish exhibitors at the fairs directly from the stand stuff or from a distributed catalogue.
On the second day of the event there was a conference and press briefing held by the branch expert. Polish Trade and Investment Agency was delighted to host international journalists, visitors as well as representatives of Polish companies. After the meeting the guests could ask some questions and take part in a walk through the Polish national section.

Polish national stand at Cosmoprof in Bologne was organised by Polish Trade as a part of Polish cosmetic branch promotional program and within the sub-measure 3.3.2: Operation Program Intelligent Development. The aim of the program is to promote Polish economy basing on our domestic brands included in the areas of Domestic Smart Specialisations. The actions held within this task aim to promote Polish cosmetic branch as a whole sector in the years 2018 – 2019 by organizing informational promotional stands at 6 fairs and conferences – in Bologna, Dubai and Hong Kong.
